late-night escapee

She looked at the clocked and said, Its time. She then picked up her belongings that were crumpled on the floor and slid through the slim crack she made with the door only to slide into the next room over-the bathroom. She clicked on the light. Her eye makeup was smeared from the edge of her eyes and were now reaching her temples. She looked down and noticed that soon, in just a short matter of time a bruise would be forming on the area of skin just below her hipbone. She touched it. It hurt. Slightly.

She quickly touched up her hair and slipped on her jeans. She tiptoed back into the room and left a peck on his cheek. He turned to his side as she opened the window and climbed back out. In to the night. It was only a block away, so she had no fear. She did know that she could be a killer if she had to be. She kept that knife in her inside pocket of her jacket. She thought to herself, I wouldn't need to worry about myself. They have their own skin to worry about.
